Purpose and Objective:  

 

SuccessFactors, Inc seeks a Developer at our San Ramon, CA location responsible for development focusing on design, coding, testing, and quality assurance of complex product features in a development team.

 

Expectations and Tasks:

 

Resolve complex issues within the area of expertise, as well as support others in resolving issues. Show initiative and drive topics to resolution in a high level of quality, speed, reliability, and efficiency. Share expertise to ensure product success and also share advanced overall product and technical knowledge within and across the Development team. Act as a SCRUM Master and be responsible for ensuring that Scrum is understood and put into practice properly. Act as a “servant-leader” for the Product Owner and Development Team, facilitate Scrum events on request, and coach the Development Team in self-organization. Remove impediments on the Development Team’s progress. 10% travel required.

 

Education and Qualifications/Skills and Competencies:

 

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field of study and 5 years of experience required. The company will also accept a Master's degree and 2 years of experience.

 

Work Experience:

 

Experience must involve 2 years in the following: develop back end applications using Java, C++, JSP, J2EE, JDBC, XML, Web Services; development and enhancements in Java and C++ of transactional systems; production support of the customer applications and debugging and resolving the production issues on Unix and Linux and usage of Autosys; develop simple scripts using Perl to automate daily monitoring of batch and online applications; understand Database concepts, SQL fundamentals; proficient in writing DML and DDL queries in Sybase, SQL, and Oracle; Requirement Gap Analysis and transforming business requirements into Solution Design Documents for Java application; work on design and development, enhancing functionality, and developing features of online login, authentication, mails for online application using J2EE, JSP, Servlet, JDBC and Tomcat; work with Java design patterns; instrumenting code for Code Coverage and using code coverage tools; Quality Assurance with in-depth knowledge of software QA methodologies and experience in an Agile and Scrum environment; and test back end applications and web applications using Java, Junit, Selenium Web driver, and TestNG. Experience must also include develop and maintain regression test data and test scripts for testing backend applications by validating database and logs; and develop Software Test Automation Framework and white box testing frameworks. 10% travel required.
