Purpose and Objective:
SAP America, Inc seeks a Support Engineer at our Newtown Square, PA location responsible to understand and proceed on the new business models and operational challenges of MaxAttention, Active Embedded, Enterprise Support.
Expectations and Tasks:
Provide necessary methodology and content to drive the innovation agenda with continual redefining of requirements and industry business models. Deliver innovations engage pro-actively with Premium Engagement and Enterprise Support customers using a holistic approach to analyze, understand and define action plans for customer’s situation. Support customers in increasing the value they get out of their SAP Solution with reduced Total Cost of Ownership (TCO). Resolve production down situations and escalations. Ensure customer satisfaction and success, secure maintenance revenue and protect the SAP brand. Deliver in an efficient way industrialization is a must. Build supportability features, standardize and automate delivery of content and invent new delivery models. 35% travel required.
Education and Qualifications/Skills and Competencies:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, Physics, Information Systems or a related field of study and 5 years of experience required. The company will also accept a Master's degree and 3 years of experience. Employer will accept 1 year additional work experience for each year not completed towards the Bachelor's degree.
Experience must include 3 years with: SAP Netweaver ABAP & JAVA Systems Basis Administration; SAP Netweaver ABAP & JAVA Systems Performance and Bottleneck Analyses and System Optimization; SAP Netweaver ABAP & JAVA Systems Architectures, SAP Solution Manager Architecture; SAP Solution Manager – Applications Operations expert in Technical Monitoring Scenarios (System Monitoring, Interface and Connection Monitoring, End User Experience Monitoring, Job Monitoring, Exception Management); SAP Solution Manager – Root Cause Analysis Applications Expert (Workload Analysis, Exception Analysis, Change Analysis, Trace Analysis, JAVA Memory and Thread Dump Analysis); SAP Solution Manager – Focused Insights; SAP Solution Manager – Release upgrade, Support Pack updates, and Database migration; Application Lifecycle Management – Process Design and Implementation; Value Discovery and Benefit Case creation by means of holistic customer operations assessment; and Debugging & Error Root Cause Analysis using Solution Manager Diagnostics and other SAP tools. 35% travel required
