We are currently seeking a Senior SCCM Administrator to join our team in Washington, District of Columbia (US-DC), United States (US).
This position is for a Senior Microsoft Windows System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) Administrator in a mixed and growing environment. This position will plan, execute and implement new system hardware and software and create and maintain team technical instructions, operating procedures and policies as needed. This position will need to be adept at monitoring and tuning system performance, ongoing operation of the servers, hardening of the servers and reporting of the overall security and operational status. The position will also recommend improvements to the enterprise and manage new software/hardware integrations when required while also providing utilization reports using existing tools to identify problems and corrective actions as needed. The position will need excellent communication and team skills. This position will provide support towards the lifecycle of a mixed environment of vendor equipment in the datacenter to include firmware version control and periodic preventive maintenance. This position will also need to be able to recommend, demonstrate, and implement technologies to help expand, upgrade, and increase efficiencies to the current environment.
Demonstrates subject matter expertise in the areas of Windows based systems administration and security including Win 7, Win 10, Server 2012R2, Server 2016, Server 2019, SCCM and SQL, network access control, VoIP, WAN, and wireless technologies
MS Windows System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) engineer responsible for all aspects of monitoring, configuration changes, patching, alerting and remediation of critical vulnerabilities of an 800+ device enterprise network.
Configures, tests and implements patching groups and schedules paying close attention to server and workstation criticality
Monitors (SCOM), maintains (SCO) and patches (SCCM) all connected devices.
Supports SQL services and applications.
Works well with other Cyber Security engineers to maintain required IT security posture based on DISA, DHS and USCG standards.
Provides and engineers solutions that improve the network’s integrity and availability.
Acts as a Tier 3 level expert and a systems resource for all users and junior technicians.
Ensures timely preparation and submission of vital system reports and asset management listings
5-7 years of network engineering experience.
Preference of Bachelor’s degree, or higher, in an IT-related field.
Must be US citizen
